Service Children often face challenges beyond the experience of families and children living in the UK.  A combination of the deployment of a family member and regular home and school moves can cause anxiety, stress and disruption to education and social networks.

There can also be a general lack of awareness of Service children’s needs. To ensure our service children have the best support possible, we will offer:

  • A single point of contact for service children and families
  • Regular meet-ups
  • Pastoral support
  • Family summer event – Afternoon tea on the Sunken Lawn – made by the service children
  • Trips and visits
  • A quiet space during the school day so a service child can communicate with absent parent/carer when deployed
