Legal Status
Oaklands Catholic School and Sixth Form College converted to academy status on 1st September 2011 and has become a company limited by guarantee. We are registered at Companies House and operate in the multi academy trust of Edith Stein Catholic Academy Trust . As an Academy we receive our funding directly from the Education Funding Agency and our financial year runs from 1st September through to 31st August.
Our articles of memorandum and association are the primary governing documents of the academy and we are regulated by the EFA as well as having to ensure compliance with company law and charitable status regulations. The Governors currently act as trustees and directors of the Academy Trust Company. For more information about our Governors go to our Governing Body page. Governors Voluntary School Development Fund
For a number of years the school has been running a very successful Governor’s Voluntary School Development Fund which has helped to raise much needed money to improve the quality of provisions for students. Online Payments
The school operates an online facility for payment of trips, tuition fees, catering and other items including donations to the Governors Fund. Details of how the online and cashless catering systems work can be found here.
