Meet Our Chaplains

As Chaplains it is our great pleasure and privilege to walk with the Oaklands community on their journey of faith. We work alongside students, staff, parents and primary schools to bear witness to Christ. We partner with the Clergy in our Diocese and to offer the Sacraments in school on a regular basis. Our R.E. teachers are passionate about their faith and we support one another in our work.

Our day jobs are very creative and varied, helping shape the prayer life of the school, using music and art to build a relationship with God and facilitating special events. We use the Liturgical Calendar of the Catholic Church to guide us in our worship and are always looking for ways to show how relevant and inspiring the Gospel message is in our modern age.

Oaklands School is fortunate to have several chaplains who work within the school as well as our local feeder primary schools. The primary role of chaplains is to spread the word of God within our community and offer spiritual support to students throughout their time at Oaklands. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Even though secondary school is a journey with many changes, the presence of God within the Oaklands community remains constant. Our chaplains are here to assist you throughout your journey.

The Chapel is always open and is a beautiful, peaceful, and sacred space where the Blessed Sacrament is always present. We offer multiple lunch clubs, which provide an opportunity for all year groups to connect and make friends through discussion, craft, praise and worship, and prayer.
