To Parents, Carers and Students of Oaklands Catholic School, using the ‘Hayling Island Bus Service 30/31 –

The school is aware that there has been an unexpected increase in the number of students using the above bus service. We have been in touch with Stagecoach who run the service and their response was as follows:

‘We’re aware it’s busy, but currently do not have a spare vehicle or driver to run an extra bus.  
The numbers are 20-30 higher than last year, which we couldn’t have predicted when we made the recent changes to the Hayling 30/31 timetable.  
Usually, numbers settle after the first few weeks of term. However, we’ll consider options at the next service change if it’s clear the problem isn’t going away.’

The school will also keep this under review and remain in contact with Stagecoach to seek a solution if the issue continues.’
