The Oaklands Way

Fostering good relations between home and school has always been part of our mission, our parents are very much part of our school community. We use the channels of communication we have, not only to inform the community about activities students undertake, but also to promote our Catholic identity and mission and involve the community in our prayer life

Since September 2007 each edition of the Oaklands News contains a message  that resonates with our identity, often referencing scripture. Early in 2024 we decided to take this one step further sharing with parents The Oaklands Way tutor time material. This included scripture and prayers used by students.

Feedback from parents suggested that they would rather receive a shorter but more regular edition of the Oakland News. So at the start  of the summer term we decided to produce the Oaklands News as a fortnightly publication and merge it with the The Oaklands Way.  The publication still contains information about our students and prayers used in school.
