Waterlooville Music festival

The school  has had a long association  with the Waterlooville Music Festival.

The Festival is an annual music  event.  It is a week-long musical extravaganza, offering a wide range of musical genres and attracting musicians from right across the county and beyond.  For the Waterlooville community this is one the premia events of the year serving local people. Most of the events are held at St George’s Church and  in Waterlooville precinct.

For a number of years, the school has provided music for the event. This provides the school with a conduit to give something back to the wider local community.  Students have volunteered to play in groups of perform as individuals.

This year the school provided a number of instrumentalists and solo pieces.

The feedback we have received has always been very positive.

On Wednesday 15 June, I went to the Waterlooville Music Festival with Sing Squad. IT WAS AMAZING! We went on the minibus to St George’s Church in Waterlooville.

First we all rehearsed the songs and then we got to perform. There were some solos and then Sing Squad sang Under the Sea, Walking on Sunshine, God Save the Queen and lastly Dancing Queen. We went back to school in time for Period 5.

It was great fun! Sage, Year 7 I really enjoyed the Music Festival – it was so much fun! Everyone was really nice and gave us lots of compliments. The performances were incredible.
